This week we released version 1.0.1 of the CrashPlan and CrashPlan PRO mobile apps for Android. We’ve added some neat features for Android tablets, including an Action Bar and a Media Preview window.

Additional menu items can be found in the menu drop down. ProTip: Tap the CrashPlan logo for quick access to the device list screen.

The Media Preview window lets you easily browse your downloaded photo albums, watch a movie on a plane, or review your meeting notes, without leaving the app. The Media Preview supports many common image, video and text files. You can use the “Open with…” icon, in the Action Bar, to open files that aren’t supported in the preview window –or any file, for that matter– with other apps installed on your device.

In addition to these great features, we’ve squashed several user reported bugs, tweaked the interface a bit, added support for low density screens, and better support for files with international characters in the filename. You can see the full change log in the Android Market.
